How to know if a facebook account is deactivated or blocked: Best Practices and Solutions

Enter the URL of the Facebook account that you suspect has blocked you. The URL looks like this: "www.facebook.com/name," where "name" is replaced with the account you are checking. If you do not know the URL, there is no way to find it.

There are ways to find out everyone who has blocked you on Instagram so you can either block them back, or just get really annoyed before going about your day. If you really want to know all of the accounts who have blocked you, you will have to use a third-party app to find out.

What apps show you who blocked you on Instagram? While there are several Instagram-related apps that offer the service, they are not approved by Instagram. Instagram does work with reputable third-party apps that act as schedulers, but none that allow you to easily find out the accounts that are blocking you.

Instagram has grown into one of the most popular Social Media platforms. However, Instagram can become overwhelming from time to time. It takes over every spare moment, as well as our time that we should be using more productively. This is why many people may choose to deactivate their account, at least temporarily. Unfortunately, this may give their followers the impression that they have been unexpectedly blocked.

To help you know if this is the case, this article from oneHOWTO explains how to know if someone deactivates their Instagram account. This way, you'll know if you need to mend any fences or simply catch up with them over on their Twitter.

First of all, to know if someone deactivates their Instagram account, you should find out if the person has a public or a private account. If they have a private account, it will be more difficult to know. This is because if they block you, you won't be able to find them on the browser, nor on the app.

If you want to know if someone has deactivated their account on a PC or desktop, it's not different than doing it on an iPhone or Android. It is similar if you want to know how to disable your Instagram account. Although the mobile app has much more options than PC, deactivating your account must be done on the PC. To learn more, visit our article on how to delete or deactivate your Instagram account.

This is why the key with how to know if someone deactivates their account is knowing if you have been blocked. If the user has not disabled their profile and you have not been blocked, then they will appear in your searches. However, if the person has not deactivated their account, but they have blocked you, they won't appear in your search at all.

Deactivating your account is a good way to "delete" your profile without actually deleting all of the information. Therefore, if someone has deactivated their account, you nor your friends or a new Instagram account will be able to see it. If they have blocked you, your friends or new Instagram accounts will be able to see it (unless they have also been blocked). The best thing to do is to respect this person's decision, whether it was to deactivate, delete or block you.

There are third party apps which claim they can let you see who blocked you on Instagram. These include Blockers Spy and others which are able to work as a general analytics for your Instagram account. However, most of these are unreliable and some that claim to be able to show you who has blocked you are actually malware. Something like Blockers Spy had good reviews, but after a brief trial it requires you to pay $20 a month to use the app. Instagram is known to discourage third party apps and not only prevent their use, but they also do not give them your information (at least to small third party apps). With that being said, it is easier, cheaper and more effective to use the methods we have explained in this article.

Note that if the person has deactivated their account, they won't be able to reactivate it for at least a few hours. For more information take a look at our article on what happens if I block someone on Instagram.

When you stop using a social networking profile or website, it is a good idea to deactivate or delete your account. This will mean that your content is no longer visible online and should not be searchable online. It will also remove the risk of these accounts being used by others or hacked without you knowing.

On Twitter, you deactivate your account and it deletes permanently after 30 days. During this time your account is deactivated. Deactivation is not available on mobile devices and must be done by accessing twitter.com on the web.

You are only able to permanently delete your account on Snapchat. It takes 30 days for the deletion to take place, in which time your account will be deactivated.

Dig around and try a few things to remove the flag that caused the disapproval. Try the same ad from a different Facebook ad account and the same page, or a different ad with the same Facebook ad account and a different page. The reasoning behind this is to isolate the offending variable. It's important to know if it's the ad account, the Facebook business page hosting the ad, or the ad itself. If nothing seems to work, get in contact with a person at Facebook:

If you're certain you didn't break any rules, be kind and persistent. Very persistent, as it could take several days to get someone from the Facebook policy team to review your account. When you do get in touch with someone, if you've invested a good amount of money in Facebook ads, you like the platform and play by the rules, let that person you're speaking with know that.

To remove the deactivated profiles from your Facebook account, first, you will need to visit the Friends section. Then find and identify the ghost profiles that you want to remove followed by unfriending them.

Lastly, the easiest way to know is to click on the profile with the default Facebook image. If the profile is available, you will be taken to it. However, if it has been deactivated, you will get the pop-up saying that the account has been deactivated.

Tweets with limited visibility: There are some instances when a Tweet is unavailable to view, such as a Tweet from an account you do not follow that has protected Tweets, if the account has blocked you, the Tweet was deleted, or if the Tweet is from a deactivated account.

When it's blocked, Basic authentication in Exchange Online is blocked at the first pre-authentication step (Step 1 in the previous diagrams) before the request reaches Azure Active Directory or the on-premises IdP. The benefit of this approach is brute force or password spray attacks won't reach the IdP (which might trigger account lock-outs due to incorrect login attempts).

Another reason would be if the user has deactivated or deleted their Facebook and Messenger accounts. You cannot find out if the account is deleted or just deactivated. However, you can confirm this by checking it through the different accounts as stated below:

Instagram is continuously tightening the loop for all the spammers and fake accounts, and so all the users who are trying to grow their account with too many follow/unfollow actions might face trouble. There are chances that they get their Instagram signup blocked or Instagram temporarily blocked or disabled from performing activities. Sadly, in a few cases, Instagram might not even give a warning before blocking the account.

Now, this is really important and one of the major reasons for users getting their accounts blocked or disabled. Keep your follow/unfollow actions under moderation. Bulk actions might be considered aggressive, and in turn trigger spam which might disable your account and in worst cases you might also get temporarily blocked. So, make sure you keep a watchful eye on how you follow/unfollow people.

In some cases, all you need to do is give some rest to your account. Try login after some time such as 24 hours. This helps restore your account.Instagram, too knows the pain of a disabled account user. They have specially created this Help Page for disabled users. Visit the page once. You never know if the solution is right there waiting for you.
